Use a credential vault with Cursor

Keep logins and API keys encrypted, and use them without pasting them into context. Connect Cursor to the WingMan MCP gateway once and these tools are available in every conversation.

1. Connect Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project), then enable the server under Settings, MCP.

~/.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "wingman": {
      "url": "https://wingmanprotocol.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "X-Wingman-Tools": "full"
      }
    }
  }
}

2. The tools you get

Names and descriptions come straight from the live tool registry.

These tools sit outside the default tool list, so the config above sets X-Wingman-Tools: full to load the whole catalogue. Without it, your agent can still reach them with discover_tools, then get_tool_schema, then tools/call.

3. Ask for it

Give Cursor a task that needs it, for example “use vault_store from wingman”. The tool call goes to https://wingmanprotocol.com/mcp and the result comes back into the conversation.

Research, the browser and other metered tools draw on Protocol Credits. Top up by card, and keep working from your iPhone with Dandelion, the WingMan agent desk app.
